This course is an introduction to the basics of Afan Oromo. In this course, students practice listening, speaking, writing, and reading in Afan Oromo. Gradually, the course will enable them to communicate in the language and strengthen their relationships with their family, friends, neighbors, and the community that speaks the language. Besides, it touches upon the importance of language learning in general and learning Afan Oromo in particular. The course also sheds some light on Oromo history, culture, and literature, showing how they are related to other Cushitic languages.
